Job Title: Rescue Veterinarian
Reporting to: Director of Rescue Operations

Position Overview
The Rescue Veterinarian plays a key role in supporting our rescue by overseeing the medical management of our rescue animals in a variety of cases, both medical and surgical.
Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive medical examinations and assessments on our foster animals, merging shelter medicine with a foster based program.
Manage and oversee the rescue veterinary support team to ensure all foster animals are treated quickly and efficiently.
Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions according to our rescue medicine standards.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient examinations, diagnoses, treatments, and outcomes in compliance with veterinary regulations and standards.
Communicate effectively with case manager, colleagues, and support staff to coordinate patient care. Occasional foster communication as needed.
Perform surgical procedures, including spay/neuter and other soft tissue surgeries and dental procedures following best practice for rescue medicine.
Lead, supervise, and support the rescue veterinary team to ensure that care standards are maintained.
Assign tasks and duties within the team, based on skill levels and expertise, to ensure efficient and effective care for all animals.
Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine, new treatment options, and rescue medicine spectrum of care through continuing education and professional development activities.
Assist in updating and refining our medical protocols as needed to reflect the latest advancements and standards of care in shelter/rescue medicine
Positively represent The Bond Between in the professional and local community.
Ensure all staff treat foster homes and patients with care and respect.
Ensure the rescue is in compliance with all local, state, and federal medical kennel licensing requirements.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Licensure (DVM or VMD)
4+ years of veterinary clinic experience
2+ years of rescue/shelter medicine or emergency/urgent care experience
1+ years of leadership experience with a disciplined decision-making approach and analytical, problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Ability to read, understand and follow department and facility procedures and policies
Strong communication skills both in written and oral format
Self-starter and highly motivated

Job Title: Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)
Reporting to: Vet Center Practice Manager
Hours per week: Full- or Part-Time

Position Responsibilities
The Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) is responsible for ensuring support to our veterinarians including appointments, procedures, surgeries, and other various clinic needs.
Assist and Support Veterinarian
Appropriate and safe restraint for medical exams
Obtain medical history and discuss general health recommendations
Assist with medical notes in the exam rooms
Fill medications as prescribed by the veterinarian
Monitor daily task lists and perform call-backs
Light reception duties
General clinic cleaning
Other duties as assigned by the practice manager
Assist and Support Veterinarian - Surgery
Assist veterinarian with pre-surgical exams
Set up and clean up surgical suite
Draw up pre-medications and inductions
Log controlled drugs
Place IV catheters
Prepare patients for surgical procedures
Dental scaling and polishing, including dental radiographs
Assist in surgery, including administering and monitoring anesthesia
Clean instruments; wrap and sterilize surgical packs
Recover and monitor patients post-op

Job Title: Rescue Support Manager
Reporting to: Director of Rescue Operations
Wage: Exempt, Paid Hourly, $23/hour
Hours: full-time, 40 hours per week
Work Schedule: hybrid - 4 days on-site, 1 day remote (on-call and weekend availability as needed)

Position Responsibilities:
Manage the performance of direct reports through recruiting, onboarding, performance reviews, training and scheduling
○ Provide cross-coverage for direct reports to ensure smooth operation.
Serve as the main point of contact and escalation point for departmental issues.
Provide on-call support for team members as necessary
Support and make decisions according to the organization’s annual budget.
Review and approve expenses:

Oversee all aspects of the Minnetonka building, including maintenance, construction projects, and day-to-day operations.

Ensure compliance with OSHA, building code and other regulations
Manage the organization's vehicle fleet, including maintenance, registration, insurance, and driver training.

Triage cases alongside The BB Vet Staff
Process invoices and payments
Keep the reception area clean and neat

Job Title: Rescue Care Coordinator
Reporting to: Rescue Medical Case Manager

Position Responsibilities:
Deliver high quality customer service to fosters
Schedule all medical and surgical appointments for foster animals with The Bond Between (The BB) Vet Center and/or external clinics. i.e. vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm test or medical appointments.
Update and maintain accurate information about appointments in appropriate software systems and shared documents
Serve as the primary contact for foster animal medical questions concerns via email, phone, social media, and in person
Follow up with foster families after appointments to clearly communicate the medical team's findings, the comprehensive treatment plan, and all necessary next steps.
Communicate proactively with foster families following established standard operating procedures
Track and coordinate monthly preventative distribution for foster animals
Oversee and complete medical appointment check-ins for foster animals
Coordinate the transport of foster animals with volunteers and external partners for medical appointments.
Utilize social media as an engagement tool to support the foster community when appropriate.
Address all foster escalations initially; apply sound judgment and problem-solving skills before resorting to additional escalations
Maintain a welcoming and clean reception area for staff, volunteers, and fosters
Maintain professional communication with foster homes, staff members, volunteers and adopters through phone, text, in-person and email communication as appropriate for the situation.
Perform office, clerical, and administrative tasks to support the medical team's operation
Maintain in-depth working knowledge of all established TBB veterinary protocols and processes

Job Title: Community Engagement Coordinator
Reporting to: Community Engagement Admissions Manager
Schedule: 20 hours – 5 hours daily - Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat
Position Type: Mostly Remote w/occasional onsite meetings
Pay: $16 per hour - non-exempt
Position Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for providing cross coverage for the Community Engagement Programs that deal with admitting animals into foster care.
Respite Program This program places animals into foster care temporarily while their owners are working through tough life scenarios, and then reunites them with pet owners.
Duties include providing cross coverage for the Respite Coordinator role, who’s day-to- day responsibilities include reviewing applications, accepting and admitting animals, foster matchmaking, ongoing foster support, pet owner communications
Surrender Program This program gives the community a safe choice when they are unable to continue caring for their pets. We provide judgment-free services to place surrendered animals into foster homes.
Duties include providing cross coverage for the Surrender Coordinator role, whose day-to-day duties currently include reviewing applications, communications with pet owners, soliciting vet records, photos, videos and scheduling surrendered animals for intake
Attendance at quarterly staff meetings and occasional team meetings is required.
Required Experience:
An ability to focus and manage time effectively, while moving between programs.
Experience working with underserved populations while exercising extreme compassion.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate professionally with foster homes and pet owners.
Proficiency in common computer skills, including spreadsheets.

Position Overview:
The Director of Finance will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial health and sustainability of The Bond Between. The successful candidate will bring extensive financial experience, with a focus on not-for-profit financial management. As a key member of the leadership team, the Director of Finance will work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the organization's financial goals align with its mission and strategic objectives. This position will report to the Vice President.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
● Oversee all aspects of financial management, including day-to-day accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
● Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
● Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing strategic insights and recommendations to the President and Executive Director as well as the Board of Directors.
● Work closely with the Board Treasurer and Finance committee to ensure that accurate and timely data, reporting, and information is communicated on a consistent basis as well as ensuring strong financial controls and effective risk management practices are in place.
● Finalize month and year end books and reporting. Strategic Planning:
● Contribute to the development of the organization's strategic plan, providing financial expertise to support long-term sustainability and growth.
● Work closely with the leadership team to assess the financial goals and budget at a strategic level.
Leadership and Team Collaboration:
● Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.

Audit and Compliance:
● Coordinate annual financial audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

● Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting and budgeting

About The Bond Between
The Bond Between is a Twin Cities - based nonprofit dedicated to strengthening the connection between people and pets. Through animal rescue, community support services, and outreach programs, we help keep animals safe and families together. Our annual gala, Bone Appétit, celebrates this mission through an unforgettable night of food, stories, and generosity.
Position Overview
The Gala Silent Auction Intern will serve as the primary point person for soliciting, organizing, and managing silent auction items for Bone Appétit 2026. This internship offers valuable, hands-on experience in event planning, donor relations, and nonprofit fundraising, ideal for someone interested in learning more about fundraising, sales, and logistics.
The intern will help us secure approximately 100 auction items ranging in value from $50–$1,000, and will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, coordinating item pickup and delivery, and ensuring a seamless experience for donors and winning bidders.
Key Responsibilities
Research and solicit silent auction items from local businesses, restaurants, artists, and supporters based on shared spreadsheet.
Serve as the main contact for silent auction donors, managing communication with professionalism and gratitude.
Accurately record and track item details, donor information, and estimated values using provided templates.
Coordinate item collection, storage, and organization prior to the event.
Assist in creating appealing item descriptions for the online auction platform.
Coordinate delivery or pickup of items to winning bidders after the event.
Attend monthly meetings with the event lead to review progress and strategy.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Comfortable reaching out to businesses and community members for donations.
Enthusiasm for events, fundraising, and/or animal welfare.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a small team.
Basic familiarity with spreadsheets and/or Google Drive.
Must be available for in-person participation during the gala weekend (March 14, 2026).
