When you've found the perfect rescue dog to adopt, fill out the application linked in the animal's profile. From there, the dog's foster will be in touch for the next steps.

Frequently Asked Dog Adoption Questions
What is the process for adopting a dog?
Once you've fallen in love with a dog or puppy, let us know you're interested by filling out an adoption application. From there, the dog's foster will contact you to talk through the specific animals needs. If you'd both like to move forward, you'll schedule a time to meet the dog at a meet and greet! If you'd like to move forward with adoption, our contracts team will then start processing your adoption contract and start coordinating pickup.

Is there a fee for adopting a dog?
Yes, each dog has an adoption fee required for adoption. All dogs from The Bond Between receive vetting, vaccines, and are spayed/neutered before being eligible for adoption. The adoption fee helps to cover part of that medical care as well as the transport and care of the animal while in rescue.
Where are the dogs rescued from?
The Bond Between rescues dogs from all over the country! As of 2024, 40% of the animals we rescue are rescued locally from Minnesota.

Our rescue animals reside in foster homes throughout the Twin Cities area. They are removed from the website when they have found their forever homes!
