36 Animals arrived at The Bond Between from Alabama

On Friday July 18th, The Bond Between rescued 10 dogs and 26 cats from Alabama.
In collaboration with Animal Humane Society, BISSELL Pet Foundation, and Cathy Bissell, 60 animals arrived in Minnesota from Alabama. Not by our typical van transport, but by PLANE!
This flight was part of the Bissell Pet Foundation's Fix the Future initiative and it marks their first official plane animal transport to Minnesota. This is a huge milestone. Two of the largest animal welfare organizations in the state of Minnesota are partnering with a nationwide foundation to save lives. It was definitely a day to remember.
As always, our goal is to reduce shelter euthanasia and create sustainable outcomes for pets in crisis. This was more than just transporting animals. This truly is transformation. A push forward for collaboration across the nation to save lives.
The animals on board were healthy, friendly, and adoption-ready, coming from trusted Southern partners where overcrowding forces difficult decisions about euthanizing for space every single day. We were so excited to give them a warm welcome to MN. After they were all transferred from the plane to our vans, they arrived at The BB Minnetonka location, went through intake, and are now in loving foster homes.

The Bond Between wouldn’t be able to say yes if it wasn’t for our fosters. They are the reason why we can help so many animals. The Bond Between is a foster-based rescue and we welcome people who would like to be a part of this beautiful cause.

It's heartwarming to see such collaborative efforts in animal rescue! The transformation of these animals' lives is truly inspiring.
